Galvanized sheet refers to the surface coated with a layer of zinc steel plate. Galvanizing is an economical and effective method of corrosion protection. About half of the world’s zinc production is used for this process.
First, the role
Galvanized steel plate is to prevent the corrosion of steel plate surface to extend its service life, coated with a layer of metal zinc surface, this zinc coated steel plate called galvanized sheet.
Second, classification
①hot-dip galvanized steel plate. The steel sheet was immersed in a molten zinc bath so that a thin layer of zinc was adhered to the surface thereof. At present, the main use of continuous galvanizing production process, that is, into a roll of steel plate is continuously immersed in the melting of zinc plating made of galvanized steel;
② alloying – galvanized steel plate. The steel plate is also made by hot-dip method, but immediately after the tank, it is heated to about 500 ° C to produce zinc and iron alloy film. This galvanized sheet has a good coating of the adhesion and weldability;
③ electric – galvanized steel plate. The galvanized steel sheet produced by electroplating has good processability. But the coating is thinner, corrosion resistance is not as hot dip galvanized sheet;
④ single-sided plating and double-sided galvanized steel plate. Single-sided galvanized steel plate, that is, only one side of the galvanized products. In the welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc., than double-sided galvanized sheet better adaptability. In order to overcome the shortcomings of single-sided non-coated zinc, there is a coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side of the galvanized sheet;
⑤ alloy, composite galvanized steel. It is made of zinc and other metals such as lead, zinc alloy and even composite plated steel plate. This steel plate has both excellent rust resistance and good coating performance;
In addition to the above several, there are color galvanized steel plate, printing coated galvanized steel plate, PVC laminated galvanized steel plate and so on. But the most commonly used is still hot-dip galvanized sheet.
